The delay in the auction of 3G spectrum has steered debate across the country whether India should skip 3G and leapfrog to 4G directly. The ITU and IEEE have identified that 4G will have data download speed of 100 mega bit per second and it is completely based on IP technology. Though people may talk to have deployed or developed 4G, it is still ‘3.9G’ technology. There have been a number of claims on the deployment and development of 4G technologies in some parts of the world but in reality there is no equipment. Actually the equipment is under development. The deployment happened so far has seen data transfer speed of 70 mbps only, which is less than the expectation from 4G. However 4G technologies as defined by IEEE will have download speed of 100 mbps whereas 3G can support speed up to 2 mbps.
India should leapfrog to 4G and skip 3G as there had been too much delay in the auction of spectrum. The 5Mhz for 3G can support 4G deployment but it is just enough. It requires 10 Mhz at least for proper operation of 4G. It can be done in the bandwidth that government has declared for BWA spectrum auction.

Smaato is a pioneering mobile advertising company that operates the mobile ad optimization platform called SOMA and partners with mobile publishers, developers, ad networks and operators. There are other B-to-B middlemen that are filling a real need in today’s marketplace. For example, a start-up called Smaato from Germany has an interesting approach to helping the application developers for mobile generate revenue through advertising. They aggregate audience — essentially linking the companies that are too small to sell ads themselves with the ad-buying service providers who are buying ads on the other side. Their initial customers include many of the leaders in Smart phone apps. I like companies that can solve a problem today, volumes being what they are, with a story that just improves over time.

In the world of Play stations and Xboxes, Nintendo Wiki came in late as a gaming console. But with the brand name Nintendo they surely had an added advantage and they did not really disappoint us with their impact on serving us with one of the best gaming console ever. It is one of the favorite of mine. And it does not cost you a premium to own a gaming console of your own. It is said to be the seventh generation gaming console. Till now it has sold around 50 million consoles around the world.
It comes with an internal 512 MB flash memory, SD card, Nintendo Game Cube Memory Card. Its graphics card is ATI Hollywood. It supports both Bluetooth and Wife. And has a LAN adapter and 2 USB connectors. Despite launching late, they had fast caught up with the other two giants in gaming consoles namely Xbox and Play station, who were fighting for the top spot themselves but they soon realized they have a new competitor and a tougher one to tackle with that is Wiki. There were some who opposed to the name of Wiki (pronounced we) because it looked slightly kiddish. But Nintendo stuck with its name despite this opposition and have indeed succeeded with it.

I have been eagerly waiting for this call and I have this feeling that I can proceed to the next hiring process considering I passed the skill test, got great score and passed the initial interview. While browsing my friends’ blogs, my cell phone rang. Looking at my screensaver, it was not a registered number on my phonebook. Then I heard a woman’s voice on the other line telling me about my application from the bank. I was so happy because it means I am close to being hired. When I told my husband about this, he said a second interview is a good sign that they are interested in the applicant. And so the phone interview started. She asked so many questions which I did not anticipate but I confidently answer them as best as I can even though deep inside I was nervous. She also discussed the benefits which include the 401k, health insurance, medical & dental coverage, vacation & sick leave, educational assistance, retirement plan, etc. The interview took almost an hour and then she told me to get a pen and paper for another interview schedule and the hiring supervisor to look for. I will have the interview tomorrow. Wish me luck. I really hope I can make it. I love the flexible work schedule, location, benefits and the job itself since it is very much related to my previous job experience in the Philippines. I can also attend late afternoon or evening classes since I am planning to go back to school and take up nursing. I hope everything will turn out ok tomorrow.

Yuck the weather is utterly crappy which does nothing for my mood. I just don’t like snow and I realize that there are people that love it but I’m just not one of those people. It just brings me down and leaves me all scatter brained. I’ll see about doing some writing but I’m not sure what I’ll get down. I guess the important thing would be to get something done because something is better than nothing.
I do have some diaries done which I never got around to doing because I wrote a letter but due to lack of ink it wasn’t printed up which is a pain so that’s put on hold and I have one more letter to do and I’m caught up on my mail. I still need to get some cards although I’ll probably send some cards too. I’ll just have to knock on my head to see if something wants to come pouring out.
Last night The Hills was on and I watched it since the pickings were pretty slim. I almost felt bad for Heidi but I think it’s for the best that she just goes off and gets some space and maybe she’ll get a clue and realize that Spencer is a total loser and oh joy his creepy sister was on. She just creeps me out for some reason. Am I the only one that feels this way? Yay Life on Mars is back tonight but it sucks that there isn’t any more after this season. I guess you can’t escape shows getting the axe quickly even ones from England.
