Ever since Apple introduced iPhone in the year 2008, it has been talk of the town around the world with its extraordinary features and options which were yet to take in terms of a mobile phone. It was aptly categorized under multimedia smartphone rather than just mobile phone because of the features it boasts. Later Apple introduces the iPhone 3G. Since it is a touch phone there is no separate keypad allotted to it and hence you will need to use all the features on the screen.

The features that iPhones are bundled with are: SMS text, camera, browsing youtube online, stocks, weather, iTunes, app store, maps, mail, and of course the ipod making it the only gadget you will ever need in terms of mobility, communication, and internet access. It is suitable for the GSM option. It comes with 2.0 Mega pixel camera and 4 to 16 GB memory capacity. It has the inbuilt wi-fi which can be used to browse the net anywhere that has the wi-fi hotspot. It was initially build only for using with AT&T but later lots and lots of iPhones were unlocked and have been used widely across the world even before its release in many countries.

In the world of Play stations and Xboxes, Nintendo Wiki came in late as a gaming console. But with the brand name Nintendo they surely had an added advantage and they did not really disappoint us with their impact on serving us with one of the best gaming console ever. It is one of the favorite of mine. And it does not cost you a premium to own a gaming console of your own. It is said to be the seventh generation gaming console. Till now it has sold around 50 million consoles around the world.

It comes with an internal 512 MB flash memory, SD card, Nintendo Game Cube Memory Card. Its graphics card is ATI Hollywood. It supports both Bluetooth and Wife. And has a LAN adapter and 2 USB connectors. Despite launching late, they had fast caught up with the other two giants in gaming consoles namely Xbox and Play station, who were fighting for the top spot themselves but they soon realized they have a new competitor and a tougher one to tackle with that is Wiki. There were some who opposed to the name of Wiki (pronounced we) because it looked slightly kiddish. But Nintendo stuck with its name despite this opposition and have indeed succeeded with it.

Zest Air is once again active in their marketing strategy as they released an across the board seat sale for all their domestic flights for the off-peak season. A one-way fare will only set you back as low as 468 pesos for a number of its domestic sectors including the ever popular routes of Boracay, Cebu, Puerto Princesa and Tagbilaran. These one-way fares are applicable for flights originating/terminating in Manila.

I know that Boracay fanatics will be very happy with these fares as I get a lot of questions from my friends regarding the price of Boracay flights for the off-peak season.

Zest Air flies to the following destinations to/from Manila for only 468 pesos: Boracay, Bacolod, Busuanga, Calbayog, Catarman, Cebu, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legaspi, Marinduque, Naga, Puerto Princesa, San Jose (Mindoro), Tacloban, Tagbilaran and Virac. While the Manila-Davao sector will cost you 1,188 pesos.

The above fares are valid for travel from June 1 to December 31, 2009. Act fast as the selling period for this promotion will end on April 15 and the promo seats are only limited.

I Off to Cambodia… I’ll be back in a Jiffy!

Thank you for the 5-star airline ranked Malaysia Airlines for having a seat sale several months ago that was too good to resist. Malaysia Airlines is one of the only 6 airlines in the world with a 5-star rating assessed by SKYTRAX. As there are no flights available between the Philippines and Cambodia I will have a compulsory overnight layover in Kuala Lumpur before setting foot in the city of Seem Reap where the world famous Angkor Watt complex and other equally stunning ancient temples are based.

The complex of Angkor Watt is the setting of the Hollywood blockbuster Tomb Raider starring Angelina Joliet. Too bad that I will never meet Mrs. Pitt unless there is a sequel that we don’t know which they are now filming discretely in Cambodia. Nevertheless, I will try my best to be an Indiana Jones for the next few days as many travel guides are saying that you need plenty of upper body strength in able for you to climb some of the ruins and temples.

According to wikipedia, Angkor Watt is a temple complex which was built in the 12th century. The temple is a source of national pride that it has been depicted in every Cambodian national flag since 1863. Angkor Watt is the central feature of the Angkor UNESCO World Heritage Site containing the magnificent remains of the Khmer civilization.

Yahoo unveils new toolbar for Web browsing

Posted on May 02, 2009 under Celebrities, arts, blogger, business, computer | No Comment

Yahoo unveiled a new toolbar on Monday that will give Web users access to their e-mail as they surf the Web, the latest step in its strategy to make its products more open to users and third parties. Firefox, Yahoo, Microsoft and others make toolbars — small strips that sit atop Web browsers to give users quicker and easier access to Internet functions. The Yahoo toolbar available later this week will allow users access to a selected group of programs from the toolbar without leaving the page they are on. For example, users get notifications of new e-mails on the toolbar and can open them. The Internet Company also showed off a newly styled in-box, which combines social networking functions and also allows users access to third party programs. Yahoo has about 275 million users of its e-mail. Its portal relies on advertising and the company says it has an audience of more than 500 million consumers. As is usual with Yahoo, the changes are being phased in slowly and later will be rolled out for all of its users. The company is continuing to pursue its open strategy as it is in the middle of a transition. It is looking for a new chief executive to replace Jerry Yang, who has resigned. It also has notified 1,500 employees that they are being laid off.
